A Wildcat Welcome

The Dallastown Area Board of School Directors is pleased to announce two new administrators joining the district leadership team in mid-October. James Heilman has been appointed Director of Building & Grounds and Brett Frey has been selected Director of Special Education.

Please extend a warm Wildcat Welcome to both!
Remember the Troops 2018

During the past 17 years the Dallastown Area High School Volunteer Club has sent items to members of the military stationed away from home during the holidays. This year the tradition continues.

A list of soldiers is currently being compiled by Shannon Werner, Volunteer Club advisor in the high school. If you know of a soldier who will be serving our country overseas during the holiday season, please send his/her name and address to [email protected] by today, Friday, September 28th.

Classes are asked to write letters and collect food items (a list will be sent to all who would like to participate) during the month of October.  All items need to be ready for pick up from your schools by Wednesday, October 31st, and will be shipped later that week.
Our hope is that all of the soldiers on our list remember 201 8 with a smile, thanks to the sincerity and generosity of the Dallastown Area School District community. Please partner with us again to Remember the Troops.

HOMECOMING 2018

This year's Homecoming theme, Arabian Nights, will transport Dallastown Area High School students on a magical escape through palaces and nighttime cityscapes.

The HS Student Council kicks off the week by hosting the highly-anticipated Powder Puff game at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3rd, when roles are switched and the high school girls play football while the high school football players cheer them on at Wildcat Stadium at the Dallastown American Legion Field. Some of the admission fee proceeds for this event benefit the HS Volunteer Club and its 2018 Support the Troops campaign.

Then, on Friday, October 5th, the community is invited to join students and families as festivities continue with the annual Homecoming football game when the Dallastown Wildcats host the New Oxford Colonials beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the stadium.

The week concludes on Saturday, October 6th, with the Homecoming dance and crowning of the queen and king. Family, friends, and community members are invited to view the decorated areas of the high school lobby and gymnasium from 6:00 p.m. to 6:35 p.m. Those observing the student promenade must be seated in the gymnasium by 6:40 p.m.; public events conclude at 8:00 p.m.
