Happy St. Patrick's Day!
In Like a Lion

As we approach mid-March, our weather patterns have been highly changeable with stormy and windy weather. Should a natural disaster occur (i.e., tornado, flood, etc.), the decision to keep students at school will be based upon whether it is safe to travel in the area.

EVACUATION SITES
Primary and secondary evacuation sites have been established for each building. The specific site used in an emergency is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the circumstances of the incident. Parents and guardians will be informed. Students will remain at the evacuation site until the emergency is declared over, at which time they will return to their respective building.
If students cannot return to their building, parents and guardians will be informed and your child will be released to the parent, legal guardian or individual identified on the School Emergency Card.

Emergency protocol is located on the district website by accessing:

It's PSSA Time

All students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 will take the English Language Arts and Mathematics Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) beginning Monday, April 15th, through Friday, May 3rd. Additionally, the PSSA Science assessment will be administered to students in grades 4 and 8 during this same time frame.
During PSSA testing, each school has established its testing window and communicates those dates to students, parents, and guardians through school newsletters, parent letters, and each school's web page.

Just as parents help their child(ren) prepare for every school day, please help your child(ren) prepare for these assessments by encouraging them to get plenty of sleep the night before and providing them with a good breakfast on the mornings of the assessments. Results will be shared with parents when released by the state.
