Here We Snow Again!
 
Take a look at the revised 2018-2019 Calendar-at-a-Glance, which reflects schedule changes as a result of recent inclement weather closures:
  • Tuesday, March 5th - School will now be IN SESSION to adjust the 2nd Trimester marking period end date.
  • Wednesday, March 6th - School will now be IN SESSION to adjust the 2nd Trimester marking period end date.
  • Thursday, April 18th - School will now be IN SESSION with a half day early dismissal, followed by afternoon and evening Parent-Teacher Conferences, for make-up of the inclement weather closure on Monday, February 11th.
  • Monday, April 22nd - School will now be IN SESSION for make-up of the inclement weather closure on Tuesday, February 12th.
End of 2nd Trimester grading periods: 
  • Friday, March 8th - Will conclude the 2nd Trimester with a half day early dismissal and afternoon Faculty In-Service.
  • Monday, March 11th - Will be a NO SCHOOL day, with a Full Day In-Service for Faculty.
Be advised that additional inclement weather cancellations may result in make-up days being added to the end of the school year. We will keep parents and students advised as we navigate the winter season. Thank you for your cooperation.

More than 130 students from Dallastown and ten other local school districts are registered to participate in the Dallastown Area High School 27th Annual Physics Olympics being held at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26th, and Wednesday, February 27th, in the high school auditorium, cafeteria, front lobby, and science wing.

Sponsored by the Engineering Society of York, the event is just one in a series of Science-Technology-Engineering-Mathematics (STEM) events in the high school.
Let's Be Partners in the Fight 
 
Dallastown Area High School will host its 5th Annual Mini-THON beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 1st. This fun-filled event for high school students inspires teamwork, leadership, and creativity while empowering them through philanthropy and service in the fight to conquer childhood cancer.

Students stay standing and active during the 12-hour overnight event to raise money and awareness for the Four Diamonds Cancer Research Foundation.

It's Time for Kindergarten
 
A Kindergarten Readiness Meeting for parents of incoming kindergarten students in the Dallastown Area School District has been scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 18th, at York Township Elementary School.

To be eligible, a child must turn five on or before August 31, 2019. The meeting provides information to parents regarding the academic and social expectations of children in the kindergarten program and provides an opportunity for parents to meet the kindergarten teachers. The meeting is for kindergarten parents only.

Senior Class Parent Post-Prom Party planning is underway, and the community is invited to Support Our Seniors! There's a way for everyone to support the Dallastown Area High School Class of 2019.

The Senior Class Parent Post-Prom Party is being held Saturday, April 27th, at Dallastown Area High School. All seniors are invited at no cost--prom attendance is not required. So, come out and support the Class of 2019 fun-draisers!
