HS Healthcare Career Day

Dallastown Area High School will host Healthcare Career Day on Monday, November 19th, with a multitude of extension opportunities to follow for students exploring a career in healthcare.

At a recent meeting of the Dallastown Area Board of School Directors, six (6) employees were recognized for their retirements between June and November of this year: 
 
Richard Auen, Dallastown Area Intermediate School, 30 years
Alice Grove, Dallastown Elementary School, 18.49 years
Tory Harvey, Dallastown Area High School, 34.36 years
Brenda Knepper, Dallastown Area Intermediate School, 24.30 years
James Reinalda, Dallastown Area Middle School, 28.29 years
Christine Staats, Dallastown Area High School, 35.03 years
HS National Honor Society Induction
 
The Dallastown Area High School Dallas Imperial Chapter of National Honor Society (NHS) recently inducted 44 new student members, who joined 51 returning members.

Presiding were NHS chapter president Yael Eiben; Vignya Dontu, vice president, Samuel Betz, secretary, Michel Malda, treasurer, and Meghan Williams, historian. High school teachers Heather Lehr and Connie Rose-Mulder serve as faculty sponsors of the organization.
 
Inductees must meet rigorous requirements in the areas of scholarship, leadership, citizenship, service, and character. Congratulations, inductees!

The Dallastown Area High School's International Thespian Society Troupe #7973 welcomed 20 new members during its 5th annual induction ceremony.

The goal of the organization is to recognize high achievement and inspire students to serve their community through the theater arts which harness skills in all areas of academics. Bravo!
Go Wildcats! 
 
We are proud of the Dallastown Wildcats athletic program, players, and coaches, and appreciate the support of parents, booster clubs, and the Dallastown community.

Let's congratulate the many successes and awards of the fall sports programs!

Remember to monitor TV and radio stations as well as the Dallastown Twitter page @dallastownSD and website, www.dallastown.net, should weather conditions necessitate a change to the regular school and/or activity schedules.
Also, be sure that current telephone numbers are on file with your child's school so that  School Messenger inclement weather
notifications reach you.
