RAPTOR SYSTEM UPDATE

The Dallastown Area School District maintains its commitment to a safe and secure environment, including implementing additional security features of the Raptor Visitor Management System for compatibility with new electronic security built into state issued photo identification cards.

As a result of this update all visitors will be required to produce a valid photo ID prior to gaining admission to a district school or building.

Your cooperation is appreciated as we continue to provide a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

It's PSSA Time

All students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 will take the English Language Arts and Mathematics Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) beginning Monday, April 15th, through Friday, May 3rd. Additionally, the PSSA Science assessment will be administered to students in grades 4 and 8 during this same time frame.
During PSSA testing, each school has established its testing window and communicates those dates to students, parents, and guardians through school newsletters, parent letters, and each school's web page.

Just as parents help their child(ren) prepare for every school day, please help your child(ren) prepare for these assessments by encouraging them to get plenty of sleep the night before and providing them with a good breakfast on the mornings of the assessments. Results will be shared with parents when released by the state.
