Homecoming 2019

This year's Homecoming theme, A Gatsby Gathering, will take Dallastown Area High School students on a walk through Gatsby's garden and inside his mansion.

On Thursday, October 3rd, the HS Student Council will host the highly-anticipated Powder Puff game at 7:00 p.m. when roles are switched and the high school girls play football while the high school football players cheer them on at Wildcat Stadium at the Dallastown American Legion Field. Some of the proceeds of the admission fee for this event benefit the HS Volunteer Club and its 2019-20 Support the Troops campaign.

Then, on Friday, October 11th, the community is invited to join students and families as festivities continue with the annual Homecoming football game. The Dallastown Wildcats host Spring Grove beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the stadium.

The week concludes on Saturday, October 12th, with the Homecoming dance and crowning of the queen and king. Family, friends, and community members are invited to view the decorated areas of the high school lobby and gymnasium from 6:00 p.m. to 6:35 p.m. Those observing the student promenade must be seated in the gymnasium by 6:40 p.m.; public events conclude at 8:00 p.m.
Remember the Troops 2019

During the past 18 years, the Dallastown Area High School Volunteer Club has sent items to members of the military stationed away from home during the holidays. This year the tradition continues.

A list of soldiers is currently being compiled by Shannon Werner, Volunteer Club advisor in the high school. If you know of a soldier who will be serving our country overseas during the holiday season, please send his/her name and address to shannon.werner@dallastown.net  by Friday, October 11th.

Classes are asked to write letters and collect food items (a list will be sent to all who would like to participate) during the month of October.  All items need to be ready for pick up from your schools by Wednesday, October 30th, and will be shipped the beginning of November.

The hope is that all of the soldiers on our list remember 2019 with a smile, thanks to the sincerity and generosity of the Dallastown Area School District community. Please partner with us again to Remember the Troops.

Asbestos Notice

Dallastown Area School District has developed an Asbestos Management Plan as required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA).

Every six months the maintenance department inspects, and every three years an inspection is conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry's licensed asbestos inspectors, any building constructed before the late 1970s to determine whether the condition of any known or assumed asbestos-containing materials (ACM) has changed. The inspector will make recommendations on managing or removing the ACM.

The Asbestos Management Plan is available for public review in the Buildings and Grounds Office.
School Board Schedule
