Baptism of Our Lord - Sunday, January 11

With the day of Epiphany behind us, we now move into the Sundays after the Epiphany. In this season we celebrate “epiphanies” and begin with the great epiphany of Jesus’ Baptism. We also receive new members this Sunday who will be affirming their Baptism!

Sermon:

"Filling Up Righteousness"

by Pastor Bill Crabtree

Readings:

Isaiah 42:1-9

Acts 10:34-43

Matthew 3:13-17

New Adult Education Series Starts Sunday

Christians today are often deeply divided over questions of politics and civic engagement--not over whether we should love our neighbor, but how best to do so in public life.

In this Sunday morning class, PB will guide a thoughtful exploration of these tensions using our churchwide social statement, "Faith and Civic Life: Seeking the Well-Being of All."

Grounded in Scripture and supported by carefully curated theological and ethical resources, we will ask a central question: Should the church engage in politics and public policy--and if so, how? This class offers a respectful space for reflection, conversation, and discernment about how the church supports our shared vocation to love our neighbor in a polarized world.
