Join us tonight at Tacqueria El Huarache!

At this month’s Mandate, as is our custom in October, we will focus on a Reformation Subject. This time we will discuss the “priesthood of all believers” and how the Reformation changed both the way laity and priests/pastors are viewed. It will be great fun and at our usual place.

Pastor Bill's Foundations Class continues tomorrow!

We’re off to a wonderful start with our midweek class! It was a joy to gather last Wednesday, and if you weren’t able to join us—no worries. You’re warmly invited to jump in this week. To catch up, you can view last week’s session in two parts (the recording was split into two segments).

This Wednesday, we’ll explore “The Word of God”—what it is, how we understand it, and what it does in our lives. Bring your questions! I’m compiling a list to help guide our discussions and ensure we address what’s on your hearts and minds.

📍 In-Person: Join us in the Conference Room (Room 4)

All Saints' Day - Sunday, November 2

This Sunday we celebrate All Saints Day.  All Saints Day is the first of November right after “All Hallowed Eve’s Day” (Halloween) and we commemorate the day on the following Sunday. We will use this occasion to remember all the members of SLC who have joined the Church Triumphant. Moreover, our texts will help us number ourselves with all the Saints. Worshippers will be given an opportunity to light a candle for a loved one or a beloved saint.

Sermon:

"Who Me?"

by Pastor Bill Crabtree

Readings:

Daniel 7:1-3, 15-18

1 Corinithians 1:1-3, John 17:13-19

PB’s Sunday Adult Education Class Nov 2 - Fellowship Hall 9:45am (between services)

  1. Sunday class: We are moving on from the Council of Nicaea to the Council of Constantinople because the 3rd article of the Nicene Creed actually is finalized after the actual Council of Nicaea. We will now focus on the 3rd person on the Trinity—

The Holy Spirit and our confession that the Holy Spirit “proceeds from the Father and the Son.”

Thursday Bible Study

October 30th @ 10:30am

Thursday Bible Study: We are finishing up with chapter three and the meaning of the most well-known verse in the Bible, John 3:16. We will more than likely arrive at chapter four and begin looking at the conversation Jesus has with the Samaritan woman at the well.

Luna is a sweet, loving, very intelligent, and also active four-year-old! She is a mixed breed weighing about 65 lbs.. She is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccines.

If the Rupp Family can't find Luna a new home within the next two weeks, they will have to surrender her to the Humane Society.

Do you want to be her new family? Or perhaps foster this sweet dog?

Please call Lynn Rupp at (360) 509.2920

if you are interested, have additional questions, etc.
