Join us next Tuesday, November 11th for Ladies' Night Out!

Remember LNO is taking a break in December!

Pentecost 22 - Sunday, November 9

Jesus gets a test from some cynics trying to trap him once again, but the collective readings this week open up a wider question, namely that of how the issues and tragedies and stuff of life often direct our eyes to the heavens and our thoughts to the bigger questions of meaning and life and the life to come. Join your fellow saints this Sunday as we open our minds to the wisdom of God.

Sermon:

"Questions"

by Pastor Jonathan Sansgaard

Readings:

Job 19:23-21a

2 Thessalonians 2:1-5, 13-17

Luke 20:27-38

PB’s Sunday Adult Education Class Nov 9 - Fellowship Hall 9:45am (between services)

We are just about done with our class on the Council of Nicaea! Previous classes and resources can be found here. This Sunday we will focus on the famous "Filioque" (which means "and the Son" in Latin)--the change Rome made to the Nicene Creed that is credited with dividing the east and west back in 1054. Recently the ELCA's Churchwide Assembly gave congregations the go ahead to remove the addition when they use the Nicene Creed. Come and see what this is all about as we continue to hold up the work of the Council of Nicaea.

Save the Date for Mandate on Tuesday, November 18th!

Please note that Mandate will be held one week earlier than our usual schedule due to Thanksgiving.

🐶 Sweet Dog Searching for a New Home! 🐶

The Rupp Family has an immediate need to rehome Kimmi's dog, Luna.

Luna is a sweet, loving, very intelligent, and also active four-year-old! She is a mixed breed weighing about 65 lbs.. She is spayed and up-to-date on all her vaccines.

If the Rupp Family can't find Luna a new home within the next week, they will have to surrender her to the Humane Society.

Do you want to be her new family? Or perhaps foster this sweet dog?

Please call Lynn Rupp at (360) 509.2920

if you are interested, have additional questions, etc.
