Deadline to register is this coming Sunday, February 8th!

Women's Winter Retreat February 13-15

What is home? Where is home?

Our experiences of home vary--comforting for some, complicated for others--and they change over time.

At our Winter Retreat at St. Andrew's House, Pastor Julie Hutson will guide us through "homes" in scripture, exploring both physical spaces and spiritual belonging through storeis of Ruth; Mary, Martha, and Lazarus; and Jesus dining in Matthew's home.

Full Weekend: $350 (2-night stay in a shared room, includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners)

Saturday Only: $120 (includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Epiphany 5 - Sunday, February 8

Our season of Epiphany comes to a close this Sunday with a deep dive into some highlights from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. This teaching of Jesus is for US, his disciples, but at first reading, it seems rather impossible. Exceed the religious leaders' righteousness? Be perfect as God is perfect? Is this even possible!? We can promise you one thing. Either you will leave Sunday completely overwhelmed or perfectly complete. But you will have to be there to find out. See you Sunday!

Sermon:

"Perfection"

by Pastor Jonathan Sansgaard

Readings:

Psalm 2:1-3, 10-11

Matthew 5:13-24, 43-48

NO ADULT EDUCATION CLASS

No class this week as we enjoy the Scout Breakfast and have a chance to support our Troop.

The next week on the 15th we will ponder the question, “Silence, What Does it Mean?” On the 22nd we will explore a few other lingering issues and do a lot of Q & A on our Church and Society subject before we move on to another session.

Thursday Bible Study

February 5th @ 10:30am

We continue in chapter eight at verse 12 and ponder what Jesus meant when he said he is the “light of the world” and we may even reach verse 31 where Jesus says, “The truth will set you free.” Come and delve into God’s Word!
