Easter 6 - Sunday, May 10th

As the Easter season wraps up these next two weeks, we continue to be invited to a seat at the table with the women and men who first followed Jesus. It's an intimate table full of promises from our Savior that give us comfort, purpose, and peace. This Sunday leans in to a particular clarity in the words of Jesus which are echoed in a very practical way by the Apostle Paul. It's a rich feast for all of us this Sunday!

Sermon:

"Nothing to the Imagination"

by Pastor Jonathan Sansgaard

Readings:

Acts 17:22-31

1 Peter 3:13-18

John 14:15-21

Sunday Adult Education Class - May 10th

We continue a new mini-series on a couple of key moments in the

stories of Moses and David.

This Sunday is our actual last teaching Sunday before our “God’s Work our Hands” event on the 24th. This Sunday will examine King David’s “last words” and see what they have for us in our faith and life.

It was a very successful LWR Spring Ingathering!!!!!

On May 1st, we loaded 35 boxes of quilts and personal care kits in a U-Haul van and Greg Patterson delivered the precious 850 pounds of cargo to Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Seattle where it was loaded in box cars. In 2025, 803,181 kits and quilts were sent to 15 countries including those areas within the USA devastated by fires and flooding.

Thank you to all who donated the needed items, for monetary donations, for our wonderful quilters and a big thank you to Greg for driving and delivering the items to Seattle. FINAL COUNT was 182 quilts and 87 personal care kits!!!!!! You should all be proud for continuing to support LWR and the work they do worldwide to help those in need.

Thank You!

Dear SLC Family,

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who have offered prayers, kind messages, and cards for Suzanne’s brother, Jason Cawthorne, during his battle with Multiple Myeloma. Your support has been a true source of comfort and encouragement.

At Jason’s request, we share his heartfelt appreciation. He has been deeply uplifted by your thoughtfulness. We are also grateful to share that his doctor has reported he is in remission. He is now preparing for the next phase of treatment, which will focus on rebuilding his immune system.

We are continually reminded of the strength and compassion within our SLC community, and we are thankful for the care shown to one another.

May God continue to bless you all.

In Christian love,

Chris & Suzanne Love
