Living Stones Visit

Living Stones Prison Congregation is an ELCA church inside the Washington Corrections Center in Shelton.

We are putting together a group from SLC to join the men in their worship service on Thursday July 2nd at the prison.

The visit would last from about 5:30-8:30 PM. If you are interested in joining, please contact Michael Thorsen at mthorsen233@gmail.com.

will host a brunch on Sunday, June 7th!

Come enjoy their wonderful homemade breakfast casseroles and fresh‑baked breads. All proceeds will support the Birkenfeld–Stella Maris House, which provides shelter, food, and a safe, supportive environment for women and children facing severe hardship. They are preparing to open a second home, so the need is great.

Did you know?

At the Central Kitsap Food Bank, clients are offered "a full grocery store shopping experience" once a month. They can also shop for bread, fruits, and vegetables as often as needed. A volunteer escorts clients as they walk through the aisles and among the coolers, freezers, and fresh produce. They select food to best meet the needs of their family. Thank you for your ongoing support by placing donations of packaged and canned food in the Food Bank basket.

_{SLC’s Ann is looking for volunteers to assist with deadheading and weeding on campus.}_{If you have an hour or two available in the morning or evening, your help would be greatly appreciated.}

I’ll be spraying a vinegar–salt–soap mix on the small weeds, but I need help pulling the taller ones. We also want to deadhead the spent rhodie blooms — especially on the stressed plants — so they can put energy into new growth instead of seeds. We’ll only deadhead what we can safely reach from the ground. - Ann
