Painting Our Prayers

Tuesday, Sept. 10th

The group will meet on Tuesday, September 10th. They hope to see some new faces who can't typically make it on Mondays. They also hope to guage whether or not to change to Tuesday nights on an ongoing basis.

Realm Invitations are here!

Realm Invitations were sent via Email on Monday, August 19th to all members currently in our database and for whom we had an email address. Watch your inbox for the link to claim your profile and download the Realm Connect app for your phone.

Avondale uses Realm as our "church directory" and now YOU will all be able to use Realm, too. In the coming weeks we will begin opening up different functions of this program that many will find useful. Watch this space for more information to come!

Avondale Childcare Center

Board Nominations

Board Positions Open for Avondale Church members (those without children currently enrolled at the Center) who have an interest in developing and nurturing our children.

The Avondale Children’s Center Board is made up of both parents of enrolled children and Church members who do not have children currently enrolled at the Center. We are seeking individuals who want to learn more about serving on the Board.

* Board Members serve a two year term

*Participate in quarterly Board meetings

*Help support the Director and monitor operations, finances, facilities and scholarships

*Education or background in child development experience is a plus but not required

Audrey Doughtery

The Doughtery Family will recieve friends and family for the memorial service and visitation at McEwen Funeral Home in Pineville, NC.

Where is Amanda?

Avondale is excited to share that Amanda will be fulfilling her Seminary requirement for a parish internship at neighboring Covenant Presbyterian Church this Fall. While we will certainly miss seeing her smiling face on Sundays, let's support her in prayer as she seeks to heed God's call and continue her education.
