Job Search Tip: When To Call School Districts

When the job posting includes the name of the School Principal or hiring manager, it's an invitation to connect. If there's a phone number listed, you have the opportunity to call the school district to learn more about the position, and what qualities the hiring manager is looking for in a candidate.

Calling provides you the opportunity to promote yourself, ask questions about the job, and impresses upon the hiring manager that you have a genuine interest in the position.

One note of caution, don't call the Principal or hiring manager if their names are omitted from the job posting. There's usually a good reason for that.
