Paving, Sealing Park Trails Complete! Bank Stabilization at Bridges Coming Soon!

Contractors have been crack sealing and seal coating park trails and will be providing for bank stabilization at the pedestrian bridges as well as at the bridge on Highway N over the Dardenne Creek. While the City continues to make improvements to trails and bridges, it will require sections of the trails to be closed from time to time. Please be patient and consider using alternate trails during these enhancements.

Hosting a Special Event in Cottleville?

These can include festivals, organized parades, runs, walks, trunk or treat, car shows, block parties and more. Similar to all of our neighboring cities, a special event application and permit is required, which includes providing a liability insurance certificate listing the City of Cottleville as an additional insured. This assists in protecting yourself, your organization or business, your tax dollars and City infrastructure. Approved permitted events can be featured in our enews, social media, city calendar, etc.

To apply to host a special event in Cottleville on City property or using City infrastructure, apply here by using this application to reserve your date:  Special Event

Additional Guard Rail Installed on Highway N along the Jim Hennessey Trail

An approximately 650 foot section of guardrail was installed between Colonial Green and Winterbrooke Subdivisions to improve the safety of users on the Jim Hennessey Trail.

Gutermuth Road Improvements & Redesign Update

The St. Charles County Road Board and MoDOT have dedicated funding to straighten and widen Gutermuth Road on to Motherhead Road including an 8 foot wide multi-use trail. Design and right-of-way acquisition initially delayed phase 3 of the project. In addition, construction bids received were also over budget, therefore the project is currently being redesigned. St. Charles County expects to put the project out to bid again in 2024. For more information:636-949-7490.

New Parking Area & Asphalt Overlay Completed on Chestnut Street

The project is now complete with an asphalt overlay on Chestnut Street, new striping as well as adding 14 new parking spaces which includes 4 golf carts spaces.

Street Slab Repairs Continue in Colonial Green!

$820,000 worth of street slab repairs and replacements were completed or nearly completed from 2022 to date in Timberwood, Madison Park, Rosedale, Dunmore Place, Columbus Pointe, and in Courtyards of Cottleville subdivisions. Summer of 2023 street slab repairs were completed in; Miralago, Meadowlake, Rosedale and other various locations around the City. Currently they are doing repairs in Colonial Green as well.

In 2022, the City of Cottleville entered into an agreement with St. Charles County to take advantage of available funding for local municipalities to perform more street slab replacement projects.  The 2022 - 2024 street slab replacement projects are funded by the City of Cottleville and the St. Charles County Road Tax Funds. City staff has already prioritized a list of the remaining slab repairs that need to be submitted for 2024 to the St. Charles County Highway Department totaling more than $280,000.

*The City does projects throughout the City and in Cottleville subdivisions each year. Repairs continue throughout each year by using City staff, contractors, and the St. Charles County Highway Department. For inquiries and to report street slab(s), curb(s) pothole(s), or sidewalk(s) in need of repair online at: Street Slab Request

**Please note, if you have already reported any of these items previously this year via phone or email, they are already on the list. There is no need to report again online.
