CPD Officers Awarded Letter of Commendation

A “Letter of Commendation” was presented to Officer Easton and Officer Willyerd for their action taken on behalf of the City of Cottleville and the citizens it serves.

Officer Easton and Officer Willyerd, actions taken on May 29, 2021, without regard to their own safety, they entered, cut away the airbags and seatbelt of a fire engulfed vehicle which allowed for the extrication of an unconscious driver which ultimately saved his life.

In recognition for their bravery, dedication and the professionalism exhibited for the City of Cottleville, the City of Cottleville Police Department issued the commendation as a small token of appreciation for their service.

Through the authority of the Chief of Police, they were awarded this Commendation on October 20, 2021.
