Area Projects Continue:
HANSEN PARK
Irrigation & Revegetation Project
Recently the irrigation install has been completed at Hansen Park. A contractor was selected through a bid process for the revegetation portion of the project however, due to the excessive heat, that has been delayed.
LEGACY PARK
Kochanski Multi Sport Field Irrigation, Revegetation & Paving Projects
In order to irrigate and revegetate the Kochanski Multi Sports Field in the rear of Legacy Park the irrigation infrastructure has been installed and a contractor has been selected to do the utility relocation and extension work which should start soon. Meanwhile, design work is complete to pave and strip approximately an additional 80 parking spaces near the field. Upon completion of that project, resealing and restriping will be done to Legacy Park's existing main parking lot as well.
Storm Water Improvements Along Trail/Creek-Project Complete!
Storm water improvements are complete along the trail in Legacy Park, which runs along the Dardenne Creek improvements included cleaning out drainage outlets and using rock to stabilize the outlet areas as well as other areas of the creek.
ADDITIONAL AREA IMPROVEMENTS:
Dardenne Farms Drive & Near Lac Terre Court
At resident requests, ,design and right-of-way work is complete to make the stormwater improvements to the areas of Dardenne Farms Drive as well as in the area of Lac Terre Court. A contractor has been selected through a bid process and construction should begin this year.
ADDED PUBLIC & VISITOR PARKING PROJECTS
Design work is complete which will add approximately 65 paved public parking spaces in and around City Hall for Legacy Park and area visitors. Request for bids have been under way. In addition, the owners have provided a new public parking lot on the west side of Frankie Martin's Garden that adds about new 50 public parking spaces to the area. Frankie Martin's Garden at 5372 St. Charles Street also offers a 40 space golf cart parking area as well.
TRAIL & SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS
Jim Hennessey Trail Extension to Manors of Meadow Lake
At resident requests, plans have been underway to extend the trail and pathway along Highway N, now known as the Jim Hennessey Trail, to the Manors of Meadowlake subdivision at the western edge of the City limits. Right-of- way acquisition continues at this time but has delayed the project. The City plans to rebid the project for a 2nd time to seek a contractor. The trail is part of the Dardenne Greenway and improvements will include an 8 foot wide asphalt trail extension from Dardenne Farms.
New Sidewalk and Trail Extension at Columbus Pointe Entrance
The City plans to provide improvements to the Columbus Pointe Subdivision Entrance at Norgate Court with a new sidewalk/trail extension on the east side of Gutermuth Road. Design work is complete while right-of-way acquisition has delayed the project. A contractor will be selected through a bid process.
ROAD PROJECTS
Gutermuth Road
The "Gutermuth" sign with the City of Cottleville logo has been installed with lighting! Project Complete!
The St. Charles County Road Board has dedicated funding to straighten and widen Gutermuth Road on to Motherhead Road including an 8 foot wide multi-use trail to be constructed on both sides of Gutermuth Road. Design and right-of- way acquisition continues at this time which has delayed phase 3 of the project. For more information: Gutermuth road phase 3
Highway N Overlay & Sidewalk
The City has partnered with the St. Charles County Road Board to provide improvements to Highway N on the SOUTH side between Mannino's Market and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Construction has started and the new sidewalk is near completion. The project also includes an asphalt overlay and restriping to HIghway N.

Highway N Improvements
Street Slab Repair Underway
Cottleville street slab replacement and repairs have been completed in Timberwood Farms subdivision. A contractor has been selected to perform a multi slab replacement project in Rosedale and Madison Park Subdivisions. Construction should begin soon.
NEW STREET LIGHTS & PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL PROJECTS
Transformers have been ordered and installation has begun by area electric companies for new street lights at Dardenne Farms Drive at Highway N and at Norgate Court at Gutermuth Road.
A new electric push button pedestrian signal crosswalk for the location of Weiss Road and Lohmar Lane with RED AND yellow lights to stop traffic has been ordered to replace the existing solar powered pedestrian signal that can currently only support yellow flashing lights. The City is waiting for the remainder of this order to arrive however, the City has received a shipping notice that it is it's on its way. The City also plans to recycle and install the solar powered signal elsewhere in the City.
