St. Charles County Elected Officials Salvation Army Bell-Ringing Challenge Underway



Help Cottleville win the bragging rights trophy for the Salvation Army's St. Charles County Elected Officials Bell Ringing Challenge in person on December 11th, from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM at the Cottleville Schnucks located at 6083 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, Cottleville, MO 63304. Shoppers can also donate using Apple or Google Pay by simply tapping or scanning the QR code on the kettle sign.

Judging will take place December 13th & 14th, City Officials will once again be cruising Cottleville neighborhoods looking for amazing holiday light displays.  Cottleville residents never disappoint with their amazing light displays. We look forward to seeing this year's Christmas Spirit throughout Cottleville!

Plus, a "Most Spirited Neighborhood" will be awarded. The neighborhood with the most homes lit up will boast a sign at their entrance recognizing their efforts!

Disc Golf is offered at College Meadows Park in Cottleville. Recently the course has been upgraded from a 9 hole course to an 18 hole course.

Highway N Overlay and New Sidewalk Coming



The City has partnered with MoDOT and the St. Charles County Road Board to provide improvements to Highway N between Mannino's Market and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. Plans include an asphalt overlay, striping and a new sidewalk on the south side of Highway N. Design and right-of-way work has now been completed. Weather permitting, construction should begin in the spring.

Holiday Waste Hauling Service Schedule & Reminders!


NOTE: Christmas Day, Saturday - No changes to the collection schedule

New Years Day 2022, Saturday - No changes to the collection schedule.

Last day for yard waste collection is 1/26 and 1/27. Yard waste collection resumes on 3/2 and 3/3.


WRAPPING PAPER


-As long as it's not foil or foil lined, wrapping paper and boxes can be recycled in your Blue Bags* with other paper products.


LIGHT STRANDS


-After light strands no longer work, place them in your own separate Blue Bag (without other recyclables) and drop it in your trash cart to be recycled.


LIVE CHRISTMAS TREES

-Curbside collection is on normal yard waste day pickup - the tree must be cut in 3 foot sections, all decorations, lights, and stands must

be removed from the tree.

-The Earth Center will take real Christmas Trees during regular Earth Center hours. If transporting the tree in a plastic bag, please remove the bag at the Earth Center.


COOKING GREASE

-Cooking grease must be in solid form. The solid form needs to be in a sealed container and then placed inside the solid waste can.


COOKING OIL

-Any leftover oils from cooking holiday meals can be recycled at Recycle City. You can either empty the cooking oil into the designated receptacle or leave the container with the oil at the facility (note that container will NOT be returned.)

Brown Family

Dental Facility Now Under Construction in Cottleville


Brown Family Dental plans to relocate their business to Cottleville and has begun constructing a new building at 5350 Highway N in the historic area of Cottleville. The building will feature a general store front style façade. Dr. Brown began his dental career in the US Army and currently operates his dental business in St. Peters. Cottleville is looking forward to becoming their new home!

New Automotive Repair Location Coming to

Weiss Road &

Highway N

Construction on a new automotive repair shop at Weiss Road and Highway N has begun. The building will feature brick and stone. There will be fencing, a landscaping berm and buffering as well as irrigation.  Access to this site will be drastically improved upon the completion of Highway N and Weiss Road improvements.

 

*Highway N/Weiss Road Improvements:

Construction continues on the intersection of Weiss Road and Highway N. This is a St. Charles County Road Board Project that plans to improve the traffic patterns at this location. A new trail will also be included along the east side of Weiss Road connecting into the existing trail system. This project is funded and managed by the St. Charles County Road Board and is anticipated to be completed by the year end weather permitting. New Sidewalk and Trail Extension to be Added at Columbus Pointe Entrance

The City plans to provide improvements to the Columbus Pointe Subdivision Entrance at Norgate Court with a new sidewalk/trail extension on the east side of Gutermuth Road. Design and right-of-way work is underway and a contractor will soon be selected through a bid process. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring ,weather permitting.

Storm Water Improvements on Dardenne Farms Drive

Due to deteriorated storm water pipe, design and right-of-way work is underway to make storm water improvements by installing a new pipe. A contractor will soon be selected through a bid process with construction scheduled to begin in the spring, weather permitting.

Leaf Disposal


Cottleville residents can dispose of their leaves (leaves only) in brown paper lawn bags during the months of October, November, and December and then again in March at no additional charge.

Jim Hennessey Trail Extends onto Manors of MeadowLake

Design and 

easement acquisition is now underway for the pathway along Highway N now known as the Jim Hennessey Trail, which will soon be extended to the Manors of Meadow Lake 

subdivision at the western edge of the City limits. The city plans to seek bids through a RFP process allowing construction to begin in the spring, weather permitting. The trail is part of the Dardenne Greenway. Improvements will include an 8 foot wide asphalt trail extension from Dardenne Farms.
