Groundbreaking for the CWS Rotary Amphitheater Stage at  Legacy Park
Mayor Jim Hennessey and the Board of Aldermen along with representatives from the Cottleville Weldon Spring Rotary Club, recently held a groundbreaking for the Cottleville Weldon Spring Rotary Amphitheater stage. A contractor has recently been selected to erect The CWS Rotary   Amphitheater   stage in Legacy Park similar to the one shown in the picture.  The "background" work has already been done such as grading, seeding, irrigation and electrical needs at the sodded grass hill, which will be used for a seating area.  The CWS Rotary Amphitheater covered stage will be utilized for plays, small music performances, and many other fun events for local residents and area students. Plans also include new restrooms. This project has been funded by the CWS Rotary Club, Cottleville Parks &  Recreation, and various other donations! Thank you to everyone who has made this project a reality!

The 10 th Annual Bi-City Holiday Food Drive is currently underway and will be ending on January 10 th , 2020. This is the tenth year Weldon Spring and Cottleville have participated in a friendly competition.  Cottleville took the win in 2019 and currently holds the trophy! We are looking for non-perishable food items and toiletries such as; cereal, dry pasta, sauce, canned goods, baby diapers, toothpaste, shampoo, cleaning items, etc.  Items can be dropped off at City Hall. All of the items collected by Cottleville will go to Sts. Joachim & Ann Care Service, which is the largest social services provider for individuals, families, and children in the Tri-County area of St. Charles, Lincoln & Warren counties.
In addition, we are also collecting items for our four-legged friends.  These donations will go to Five Acres Animal Shelter. This is the only "No-Kill" shelter in St. Charles County and relies on private donations in order to operate.  They can use; dog treats, dog toys, kitty litter, bleach, paper towels, unshredded newspapers and trash bags. New and gently used towels, blankets, sheets, beds, collars, and leashes are needed too.
