Construction Underway on Mid Rivers Mall Drive
You may have experienced the increased traffic at Mid Rivers Mall Drive and Cottleville Parkway.  That is because construction is underway for improvements to that intersection and beyond. With a mutual aid agreement, the City of St. Peters has begun improvements which will include additional turn lanes, improved crosswalks, bridge widening, and relocating the pedestrian sidewalk/pathway back off the road/shoulder, similar to in front of Stygar-Hutchens funeral home. This construction is on schedule and will near completion in fall of 2019 . This project is funded by the  City of St. Peters, East West Gateway and St. Charles County Road Board.  Please be patient as this is going to be fantastic when it's finished!
Mosquitoes & Your Safety
Summertime brings fun in the sun, but it also means pesky critters which can be annoying, and even dangerous.  If you need to request additional mosquito control in your neighborhood, email

Mosquito safety is as easy as A, B, C, D...
Avoid bites---use insect repellent!
Be safe---always follow the repellent label instructions!
Cover up---wear loose, light-colored long sleeves and pants!
Dump---remove standing water around your home to reduce mosquito habitat!

Fireworks Regulations

As we prepare to celebrate our Country's Independence Day, we need to remember the City's regulations related to discharging fireworks. The City allows fireworks to be discharged beginning June 20 and continuing until July 6.  They are allowed to be discharged 5 pm - 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 9 am -  11 pm on Friday and Saturday.
Please remember the importance of safety and proper handling of the fireworks. Be considerate of your neighbors with the direction they are discharged. Fireworks shall not be discharged in a negligent manner and the debris left behind should be disposed of properly.
  Cottleville Golf Cart Rules

Grass Clippings
Cottleville residents and landscapers are reminded to keep grass clippings out of the street and the City's storm drains. Blowing grass and other yard debris into the street or storm drainage system is a violation of the City's littering and storm water ordinances.  Grass clippings, leaves and other lawn debris can clog storm drains, resulting in street flooding.  Also, storm drains flow directly to local waterways untreated.  Grass clippings add unnecessary nutrients, which help feed harmful algae blooms.  In addition to environmental harm, you may be creating a safety hazard.  When blowing into the street, the clippings can create a slippery and dangerous surface for traveling motorists and bicyclists.  Using a mulching mower puts the clippings back into the yard and keeps the nutrients where they belong.  Should you use a discharging mower, please be sure to point the blower toward your property and away from the street to prevent the clippings from leaving your yard.  Mowers may also choose to bag clippings, but they many not be disposed in a regular refuse container.  When finished mowing, be sure to use a blower or broom to clean up any grass clippings that may have inadvertently made their way into the street.

New Pavilions at the Dog Park

City crews are currently erecting three additional pavilions in the dog park area of Legacy Park. Both the large and small dog sections of the park will now have a pavilion which will provide seating and shade to those using our dog park. This will be a great addition to our dog park!
Streetlight Out?

AmerenUE and Cuivre River Electric are responsible for "keeping the lights on" when it comes to street lights in Cottleville.  If you see a street light has burned out, email, and let her know either the pole ID number or an adjacent street address so that she can report it to the appropriate electric company.
