The Los Angeles City Council authorized neighborhood councils to provide emergency funds to those in need in our community during the COVID-19 crisis. The Coastal San Pedro Neighborhood Council provided donations of $1,000 each to the following organizations: Feed and Be Fed, Harbor Interfaith Shelter, and the San Pedro Boys and Girls Club.
The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment has also provided ZOOM accounts to all neighborhood councils in order to allow NC boards and committees to conduct virtual meetings, so look out for upcoming remote meetings and listen in from the comfort of your home. Meetings will be posted on the CSPNC website as soon as scheduled. So stay tuned!

Domestic Violence Resources
|
|
City Attorney Mike Feuer and District Attorney Jackie Lacey just launched the "Behind Closed Doors" campaign, in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the California Grocers Association, to highlight in-home crimes amid the COVID crisis. Not everyone is safer at home. And whether it's domestic violence, child abuse or elder abuse, being isolated can make victims more vulnerable.
Here are resources for victims of domestic violence. Please share. Victims can also text 911 or call 911 in an emergency.
