Emmanuel Pipe Organ Project

***The Countdown***

NEWS FLASH!! Just confirmed with Weiler: ALL the pipes and the completed console are arriving Monday!!!

There is still time to donate before we take our next loan draw. (it's never too late to do the right thing!)

Thanks for everyone's generosity in 2020!

Friends of Casavant 3062 is still alive and well during the pandemic. Although fundraising events have been stalled, we continue to meet and plan for ways to complete our promises. As a separate 501c3 Not for Profit, we will continue to reach out to patrons of classic organ music and education.

A grand Dedication Concert is planned for January 30th to celebrate Casavant 3062's improved sound.

Save the date!

Organ Fundraising Donations are still appreciated. Some very generous checks have arrived recently, one particularly large one from an anonymous donor. Thank you! Whomever you are! This and other donations now assure we will need to borrow well under $200k. This is good news!

We are preparing the list of all donors who have generously pledged to the POP. Our plan is underway to list donors in four categories on a brass plaque permanently attached to the wall under the pipes.

The console will also have one for the David Clark memorial, as will a new category, Memorial donations for a special person of your choice.

Judy will be working on this with POP members and our goal is to have them installed for the Organ Dedication in late January. Virtual or in person, this must be a celebration for all of Emmanuel!

As we count down to our Organ return don't forget to use Amazon Smile and add Friends of Casavant 3062 as your chosen charity.
The Pipe Organ Project has earned $48.47 from Amazon Smile between July and September this year!

Thank you to all who have made these purchases with Friends of Casavant 3062 nominated - literally every penny helps!
Lawrence Hall Youth Services Holiday Gift Giving

It’s that time of year! Once again we are collecting gifts for Lawrence Hall students, boys and girls, ages 12 to 21. This year we won’t have tags on a tree, so please just bring your new, UNWRAPPED gifts to church office by December 9th.

NOTE: Please call Judy in the office before you drop off your generous gifts, to make sure somebody is at the church. (708) 352-1275. Thank you!

Suggestions for gifts include: books, sports equipment/apparel, gift cards (Target, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Visa, grocery store), hats, gloves, scarves, basic clothing (i.e. socks, underwear, sleepware), blankets, personal care items, games, jewelry, bath and body items.

If you would like to include gift wrapping supplies, they would be welcome. If you have any questions, please call Ellen Busch, (708) 354-5847. This year Lawrence Hall is especially needy, so as always, thank you for your continued support of this very important child-centered Episcopal Charity.
Saint Of The Week:
Elizabeth of Hungary, Princess and Philanthropist

19 Nov 1231
The numerous "St. Elizabeth's Hospitals" throughout the world are for the most part named, not for the Biblical Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, but for this princess of Hungary. She was concerned for the relief of the poor and the sick, and with her husband's consent she used her dowry money for their relief.

During a famine and epidemic in 1226, while her husband was away in Italy, she sold her jewels and established a hospital where she nursed the sick, and opened the royal granaries to feed the hungry. After her husband's death in 1227, her in-laws, who opposed her "extravagances," expelled her from Wartburg.

Finally an arrangement was negotiated with them that gave her a stipend. She became a Franciscan tertiary (lay associate) and devoted the remainder of her life to nursing and charity. She sewed garments to clothe the poor, and went fishing to feed them.
