The Blessing of a Great Dad
My 92-year-old Dad, Henry Haynes, went to be with the Lord on August 4th. His health had deteriorated to the point where his death was a blessing. We were sad to say goodbye, relieved he was not suffering and thrilled he went to be with the Lord.
Dad graduated from a small-town high school in Oklahoma and played basketball for Oklahoma Baptist University. He wound up with degrees in Theology and a Doctorate in Education Administration from Oklahoma State University.
He pastored in Kansas City, Missouri, served with the Foreign Mission Board (International Mission Board) in Venezuela and then pastored bi-vocationally in Oklahoma where Mom was a teacher and he was a high school principal.
He was my hero and model. His love for the Lord and the Bible were a constant inspiration to me. He was an avid reader and was always learning. He set the tone in our family for wanting to learn and grow to be our best for the Lord. He was caring but firm. Gracious but with high expectations. He was fun! While in middle school we had personal tournaments (kept game tallies) in ping pong, basketball and chess. The grandkids and great-grandkids loved being around him. He always had a story or joke to tell them. He was a terrific back scratcher! I can still feel him rubbing my shoulders and giving me a back scratch. So relaxing!
He taught me how to be a man, a Christian, a husband and a Dad. I am blessed!
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of my Dad! I am the man I am today because of him!

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
