I am thankful for our dynamic board of directors who inspire me every day. What an awesome experience to work with a group of women from various parts of the state, various political affiliations and various opinions on issues who collectively work together under the California Women Lead mission to help increase women's participation in elected and appointed office. We are truly a unique organization and there is nothing like this anywhere in the county - I am humbled to be part of it.

New in 2017 was the launch of the LEADership Academy.
Four carefully curated modules created that focused on the areas of Professional, Personal, Political and Policy. Academy sessions were offered throughout the state and highlighted one program from each module in an accelerated one-day environment. Over 200 women throughout the state participated in the LEADership Academy in 2017! Sessions covered a variety of areas in California including Sacramento, Orange County, Fresno, the East Bay and Los Angeles. For those who were unable to attend an Academy Session, there is good news...the Women's Conference in April 2018 will feature all four, full-module training programs!
