 Please place trash and recyclables in an easily accessible location by 7:00 AM. Contact the hauler directly at 442-8390 with questions or concerns. Please note: the trucks used are dual functioning. Trash and recyclables are collected together but placed in separate compartments within the truck.

Solitude Lake Management will be treating the pond on Thursday, June 11th.
The Pond will be closed to all water uses, including swimming, fishing and boating for the entire day of treatment.
These uses can resume on Friday morning, June 12th
Use of Pond for irrigation (watering laws, gardens or plants of any kind) is prohibited for five days after treatment.

COVID-19 Information
Town Buildings with the exception of the Library are open to the public. Please view updated guidelines and information regarding the re-opening during phase 1.

If you need any food assistance during this time the following options are available.

Barltett’s Orchard has a set up a food pantry for those in need. You may pick up or drop off at the store during their normal hours Sunday through Saturday from 8:00a.m -4:00p.m. Staff will be able to assist you with any questions or you can call Cindy Bartlett at 413-698- 2559.

Richmond Consolidated School is offering daily lunch to residents of Richmond and West Stockbridge. You can pick up lunches from 8:30-9:30. Please email Tammy the number of lunches you will need at  tjervas@richmondconsolidated.org  or call her at 698-2207, ext. 124 the night before. If you would like lunch but have no transportation, please let her know and we will deliver. When you call, you will need to let her know how many lunches you need and the address for delivery. For more information on how to order please click here

Please Note: Persons in Richmond eligible for emergency fuel assistance are also eligible for food assistance through the South Congregational Church Food Pantry located at the rear of the building at 110 South Street in Pittsfield. as a “Grab and Go” service

In an effort to help keep all residents and employees safe and to stop the spread of the virus, we are reminding all residents and staff to self quarantine for 14 days from your last day of exposure if they have recently traveled to or from any COVID “hot spots”.

The Board of Health has issued the following guidelines for
any short-term rentals.

On March 31st As part of the updated essential business list, DPH issued new guidance today around hotels, motels, inns, beds and breakfasts and other short-term residential rentals. Based on this new guidance, hotels, motels, and short-term rentals may only be used for efforts related to fighting COVID-19, like front line health workers or individuals, or for Massachusetts residents who have been otherwise displaced from their residences.

The Richmond Library is open for Curbside Pick-up!
The library is open for Curbside Pick-up. Although the library is closed to the public, you are still able to check out Richmond items (Inter-Library Loan has yet to restart). How will this work? 

You can call the library during our curbside hours and request items or you can go online ( https://bark.cwmars.org/eg/opac/home ) to place a hold. If you go online, make sure to select Richmond from the drop-down menu. After our library staff has received your request, we will call you to let you know your items are available. We will check the items out to you and place them in a paper bag outside the door with your name on it. We are also taking returns. 

Please place your library items in a paper bag and return them to the Richmond Library during our curbside hours which will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 – 5:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 – 2:00.  Please do not use the book return. 

Kristin will be in the library on Mondays and Wednesdays and will also be providing additional curbside hours in June. If you have any questions, please call the library, 413-553-7795. We are all looking forward to seeing you again!
