Building excellence in end-of-life care in our community

Greetings!

As we continue our work in 2025, we just wanted to take a moment to reflect on the amazing impact your support had on Marigold Hospice Care throughout 2024. Your generosity has truly been the heart of our success, and we can't thank you enough for your commitment to our cause.

We’re excited to share some of our latest updates with you:

Marigold Hospice Care Reaches 50% Construction Completion

Now 10 months into construction, the progress made so far on Marigold Hospice continues to amaze us. Numerous trades are working on site, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems. Ductwork is now visible in the ceiling space, and the partition walls are complete. The exterior walls have been insulated and covered with a vapor barrier, and some rooms are now drywalled - each room in the hospice clearly defined

With each passing day, we see many years of hard work, determination and vision becoming a reality.

Our design team has finalized the furniture selections, allowing us to envision how everything will come together to create beautiful, comforting spaces for our future residents and their families.

Building a Home Away from Home Campaign

At Marigold Hospice Care, we believe a nurturing environment makes a world of difference. Our campaign," Building a Home Away from Home," aims to support our hospice to be a peaceful and welcoming space for our residents.

Your support will help us create spaces that blend comfort, functionality, and style, ensuring every corner feels like home. Each thoughtfully chosen item will enhance the quality of life for our residents and their loved ones.

Join us on this meaningful journey by exploring our collection today and help us furnish our hospice before our opening in Fall 2025.

Thank you for being a part of " Building a Home Away from Home."

Honouring Leo W. Blindenbach

As we reach the 50% completion mark in the construction of Marigold Hospice Care (MHC), we are proud to celebrate by naming the nurses' station in honour of Leo W. Blindenbach.

This naming also acknowledges the generous contribution of an anonymous donor who supported our Capital Campaign in Leo's honour.

We are grateful for his extraordinary dedication as a member of the MHC Board of Directors.

In addition, he tirelessly advocated for the Regional Municipality of Durham and the Municipality of Clarington to declare every January 29 as Hospice Awareness Day in the region. Leo's unwavering commitment and profound empathy inspire us all.

Thank you, Leo, for your steadfast dedication to Marigold Hospice Care.
