2023 is off to a productive start here in Sea Isle City, and our municipal employees are busy planning for the year ahead. As was recently mentioned, the City’s Finance Office is fine-tuning Sea Isle’s 2023 Municipal Budget, which will be presented to City Council in February. Also, our Department of Community Services is securing a wide variety of family events and recreation activities that will offer something for everyone, and our Department of Public Works is busy ensuring that our town is in tip-top shape.

At the start of the January 10 City Council meeting, Mayor Desiderio reminded Council and the public that City Hall will be open on occasional Saturday mornings throughout the year, including January 28. The Mayor also stated that the City’s Administration is fine-tuning the 2023 municipal budget, and that he will present the completed budget to City Council on February 14, at which time he will also deliver his annual State of the City Address. Furthermore, the Mayor said that he is looking forward to his second meeting with Sea Isle City’s recently-formed Youth Recreation Committee later this month, and that working with our younger residents not only gives the City additional input regarding recreation programs and the use of Sea Isle’s future Community Center, it also serves as a tool to gather feedback that will help the City address other issues, such as the challenges related to young people gathering in large crowds during the summer season.
