MAYOR'S MESSAGE
From Mayor Leonard Desiderio...

I begin this message by extending my thanks and congratulations to the members of VFW Post 1963 – and in particular, their wonderful Auxiliary. On Tuesday evening, after weeks of planning and fundraising, Post 1963’s Auxiliary completed their 2022 Adopt-a-Troop program, which they host every year in support of one unit of the United States military. This year’s “troop” is the Coast Guard Air Station in Kodiak, Alaska.

CITY COUNCIL'S MESSAGE
From The Members of City Council...

At the start of the March 8 City Council meeting, Mayor Desiderio asked everyone to “stand together” with the citizens of Ukraine, amid what is “one of the worst deliberate tragedies inflicted on an entire nation in modern times.” The Mayor also indicated that Sea Isle City stands in support of Ukraine and anything our federal government can do to provide aid and assistance for the people of that country.

DAYLIGHT SAVING REMINDER
It's That Time of Year Again!

Daylight Saving Time 2022 in New Jersey will begin at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 13, so don’t forget to adjust your clocks ahead by one hour this weekend – and Spring Forward!

Did You Know...?

According to Wikipedia, “the idea of aligning waking hours to daylight hours to conserve candles was first proposed in 1784 by American polymath Benjamin Franklin. In a letter to the editor of The Journal of Paris, Franklin suggested that waking up earlier in the summer would economize candle usage and calculated considerable savings.”
