Mayor's Message

For some folks, spring officially arrives on the vernal equinox, which takes place this year on March 20. For others, March 1st is when spring officially begins, simply because March is a “spring month.” And for others still, spring’s arrival is closely tied to seasonal birds returning to town or when crocuses and tulips start to pop up in our gardens.

All that being said, no matter when you believe spring officially arrives, I am certain we can all agree that we have had enough of the cold weather, and that “spring thaw” are the happiest words we can hear right now, because that means summer isn’t far behind – and boy do we have some exciting events and activities coming your way this summer!

City Council's Message

Due to the blizzard our region experienced last week, the February 24 City Council meeting was canceled – therefore, there is no new business to report at this time. Because of that cancellation, each of the items listed on the February 24 meeting agenda will be added to the agenda for our next City Council meeting, which will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10, on the third floor of City Hall.

As we mentioned earlier, City Council hosted a Budget Workshop on February 12 to review Sea Isle City’s proposed 2026 Municipal Budget. Following additional consideration, the proposed 2026 Municipal Budget will be Introduced during Council’s March 10 meeting, with a Public Hearing (and possible Adoption) planned during our April 14 meeting.
