From Mayor Leonard Desiderio...
Signs of the autumn season are everywhere you turn in Sea Isle City. In addition to corn stalks, mums and pumpkins displayed on front yards and at the entrances of local businesses, there are also plenty of autumn events taking place that you won’t want to miss. To begin with, the Recreation Office’s annual Halloween Parade and Family Dance Party is happening on Friday night; and then, on Saturday, the Chamber of Commerce will host their first annual “Harvest Classic,” which will include a variety of seasonal activities, such as pumpkin decorating, a scarecrow contest, hayrides on the beach, a pie-baking contest, dancing to live music, a surfing competition and more.

Trunk-or-Treat and Traditional
Trick-or-Treating in Sea Isle on October 31
Trunk-or-Treat: Sea Isle City’s Recreation Office will host a “Trunk-or-Treat” event from 4:00 to 6:30 PM on Halloween Night, October 31, in the Welcome Center Parking Lot, where children can receive treats from parked vehicles. Residents, organizations and businesses are invited to hand-out treats during this event. Prizes will be given to the best decorated vehicles. To register your car or truck for Trunk-or-Treat, phone 609-263-0050.
Trick-or-Treating: Traditional door-to-door Trick-or-Treating will take place in Sea Isle City on October 31, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at participating homes and business throughout town.
Trick-or-Treat Route: If you plan to distribute candy from your home or business during Sea Isle’s Trick-or-Treat hours on October 31, you can add your address to our “Trick-or-Treat Route” by phoning the Recreation Office at 609-263-0050. The Trick-or-Treat Route will be made available on Facebook and elsewhere to families prior to Halloween Night, so kids will know which properties will be handing-out treats from their doorsteps.
Halloween Safety Reminders: Children should wear costumes that are brightly colored and do not drag the ground – and they should walk in groups, follow a route that is pre-determined by their parents, and never accept rides from strangers. Carrying flashlights is always a good idea when trick-or-treating – as is only crossing streets at crosswalks. Also, motorists are reminded to please drive with extra-caution on Halloween Night.
