COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution
Vaccines have been shipped to some local providers in the Lakeway area and throughout Travis County. Vaccinations are now taking place for those in group Phase 1A, which includes front line workers and residents of long-term care facilities. Vaccines are also authorized for those in group Phase 1B, which includes persons ages 65 and over, or 16 and over with at least one chronic medical condition, including pregnancy. There is information on the city's website in the resource section that includes an interactive map of local providers, including the number of doses that have been shipped to those providers, along with their contact information, plus links to the state and local health agencies with information about group breakdowns and timelines. Click here for those details. For questions about COVID-19 vaccinations and whether you're eligible, please reach out to your physician or health care provider first.

NEW: Gingerbread House Winners

The winners for the Gingerbread House Decorating Contest were recently published on our website. First Place went to Jessie Hiller with a snow covered Gingerbread Church. Judges were impressed with the clever use of frosting to make the stained glass windows as well as the Rice Krispy greenery. A close runner-up went to Laci Wright with a Gingerbread mansion (pictured above). Judges were impressed with the gumdrop walkway, candy cane pillars and chimney made of sour candy bricks.
