New CD Reviews
Shakespearean Feast A Labor Of Baltimorean Love
Review by Karen Cook

This disc is just about everything one might expect from the Baltimore Consort. It’s fun, it’s varied, it’s well planned and even better executed.

Soprano Makes Splendid Recording Debut With Vivaldi
Review by Andrew J. Sammut

The warmth and scale of Myriam Leblanc's voice conjure up a cozy room with a few close friends rather than an opulent chamber soiree.

IDEA Task Force Update: Black History Month
EMA and the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Task Force join others in recognizing Black History Month by celebrating Black artists in the field of early music. Organizers are encouraged to submit news and press releases about their events so EMA can help spread the word all month long.

We'd like to draw your attention to two upcoming EMA events this month. The first is the next in our series "How to talk and write about equity, diversity, and inclusion in early music" on February 10 at 2pm ET, facilitated by task force members Pat Neely and Gus Denhard. The session is open to EMA Members and limited to 20 participants. Registration is available on the Member Opportunities page.

The second is an upcoming keynote discussion exploring Black musicians' contributions to early music to be live-streamed on Sunday, February 21 at 2pm ET in partnership with The Handel and Haydn Society and presented as part of "The Well-Tempered Musician" wellness series. Panelist and other event details will be available very soon.
E-Notes helps you reach an engaged audience of early music enthusiasts. Learn more about the benefits of EMA's advertising opportunities in E-Notes, EMAg, and on the EMA website.
