COVID Policy as of 6/21/2022

For the months of June and July (until the next board meeting) we will continue to hold in-person services and request that everyone wear masks when in the Octagon. Everyone is expected to continue wearing their masks in the social hall as well after the service ends. There will be no beverage service during social hour. Wearing masks is a precaution to protect our guests and members from the wave of Covid infections that are currently on the rise. Please help us keep our members and guests safe.

Clothes To Kids
"Clothe a kid, change a life"
Community outreach collection for August

Since 2003 Clothes To Kids, Inc.(CTK) has been providing new and quality used clothing to low-income or in crisis, school-age children in Pinellas County, free of charge. After a brief screening as to need, each child is invited, by appointment, to shop for a complete week's worth of clothing, twice a year. CTK envisions a community in which every school-age child has quality clothing so that he or she may attend school with the confidence and self-esteem needed to achieve academic success. For more information go to https://clothestokids.org .

UU The Vote! Postcard Party!
Saturday, August 13th
10 am to Noon
Social Hall UU Clearwater
(Please wear masks)

You are invited to the second postcard writing party of the summer. Our partner the NAACP Clearwater-Upper Pinellas has 500 postcards for us to prepare for mailing. This only requires us to put labels and stamps on preprinted postcards. Easy job! Then we will be writing postcards to add to our postcard project. We have already hand written hundreds of postcards and will be mailing them close to September 26th to our Clearwater neighbors. We need donations of postcards. You can order the “get out the vote” printed postcards from Amazon. We also need donations of stamps for postcards. Join your friends for lively conversation, music and important civic action. Due to Covid restrictions no food will be served. Questtions? Contact Linda Stoller at lstol10403@aol.com.

A message from the Care Circle
August: a month of countdowns.  Summer vacations end, new school years begin, yearning for cooler days continues...and next month our new minister, Rev. Amy Kindred, arrives! - Eloise

The Care Circle provides UUC community members temporary, short-term assistance during an illness or injury. Volunteers help with tasks such as pick-up and delivering medications, and running errands to name a few. They can also make referrals to agencies that can provide more intensive help if needed. To request assistance, please use this form, contact Eloise Hardman, or the UUC Office (727) 531-7704.
RCS Food pantry box has reopened

Please resume bringing non-perishable food items to UUC for the RCS Food Pantry (now under the umbrella organization "Hope Villages of America"). They are especially in need of high protein food items such as beans, peanut butter, canned meats and fish.

Let's fill the box in the lobby quickly!
