We had another great day of worship this past Sunday as we opened the 11:00am service with the baptism of Pamela Butler. Our combined attendance for the 2 services was the highest it has been since COVID! It is so exciting to see God at work!
On Saturday evening we had the first church-wide fellowship we have had since COVID. By every measure, our Fall Festival Tailgate Fellowship was a resounding success! Not only did our turnout exceed most expectations (dark earlier with the time change, plus it was COLD!), but everyone had so much fun! It was good to see the church together, eating and laughing again. I have no doubt that the fellowship on Saturday evening carried over to the increased attendance on Sunday morning. Folks, it all works together as part of one total church ministry: Worship, Education (Sunday School, Discipleship, Bible Study series, etc.), Fellowship, Prayer, Missions, and Service. I want to thank Rachel Davis, the Fall Festival Committee, and Bro. Brad for all of their work in making this event such a success.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry! I have not received a final count as of this writing, but it appears that we will fall short of our goal once again. That, however, does not take anything away from the faithfulness and enthusiasm with which so many of you donated shoeboxes full of gifts you lovingly selected for some precious boy or girl. Also, many of you donated money for the purchase of shoebox items. The children had the joy, this past Wednesday night, of packing shoeboxes with items our Children’s Director, Lori Replogle, bought with your donations. In just a few weeks your boxes will be placed in the hands of the children who will receive them. Imagine their wide-eyed joy as they open their box and sort through the treasures. Also, imagine all of the children and their family members who will open their hearts to receive Jesus through the shoebox ministry. Thank you for making a difference!
See you Sunday!
