What a great day we experienced Sunday as Ethan Wilson preached his first message before a church congregation. He did an awesome job! I have heard so many positive comments. Thank you for supporting and encouraging him. And, I want to thank Anita Kendrick for the marvelous job she did in leading in music worship yesterday. We are so blessed to have so many capable and willing people who serve in so many ways here at RPBC!
We also welcomed Judy Stockstill home yesterday. Judy moved her church letter back here from FBC Magnolia, Texas. Please welcome Judy back when you see here.
Our final count on Operation Shoeboxes was 177. Although we were short of our goal, I am so proud of every one of those 177 boxes! They represent 177+ opportunities for the Gospel to be shared in such a unique and exciting way. Now, please pray that each box will get into the hands God wills, and that each boy and girl who receive a box (and their family members) will come to know Jesus as Savior.
This Sunday I am beginning a series of Christmas messages. The series is entitled, “The Nativity.” The word nativity comes from the Latin word, nativitas, and simply means “birth.” Of course, when it is used today it refers to THE birth; the birth of Christ. The message this Sunday will be about Mary and Joseph. Come join us for each of the 5 messages in this series and let the Nativity come alive for you!
See you Sunday!
Dan
