What a precious day of worship we had Sunday! Not only was the presence of the Holy Spirit so evident in our midst, but we had the highest worship attendance we’ve recorded since COVID began! I want to thank Amanda Schommer and Hunter Harrelson for assisting me by placing the angel in our Nativity scene. I also want to thank Andrew McKnight and Jennifer Drennan for their beautiful instrumental rendition of “Silent Night.” And, thank you to Mendy Miltier and the Children’s Choir and Handbells for leading us in musical worship! Our day was made even more special by the baptism of Mason Beech. God is good!
The RPBC 2021 Ladies Luncheon was amazing! Our guest speaker was Carla Tyndall, of Uttermost Evangelism, who challenged the Ladies to focus on Christ during difficult times. We were glad Carla's daughter-in-law, Kayley Tyndall, was able to come with her. Thank you to Anita Kendrick (Women's Ministry Director and Ladies Luncheon Coordinator), the table hostesses, Judy and Julia Myers (decorations), Mendy Miltier (desserts), JoAnn Woods and Ann Archer (appetizers), Evan Dickerson (sound), Charlie Culver (Servers Director), men and student servers, and anyone I may have missed. And, thank you to all of the ladies who attended!
Our children will present their Live Nativity this Wednesday night, 12/08. We will resume our Wednesday evening Bible survey on 12/15.
Don’t miss our Celebration Choir’s Christmas presentation this Sunday in both services. Following their performance, I will continue with the Nativity message series. This week we will consider the lowly shepherds.
Go Tell It on the Mountains!
