The Lord blessed us with awesome worship experiences yesterday. The duet of Andrew McKnight (cello) and Jennifer Drennan (piano) blessed us with 2 selections in each service. Then, the brother-sister duo of Drew and Anna Kate Breland heaped blessing upon blessing as they sang the special music in both services. And, it was so special to baptize Ms. Janeth Serie’ at the beginning of the 11:00 service.
We also had a great afternoon at the big pond on the Associational grounds. Lori Replogle organized a Family Fun Day that was heavy on sunshine, fellowship, and more than a few fish stories! Although we had a large number of kids, youth, and adults who tried their hand at catching the big one, we had just as many adults who enjoyed an afternoon of relaxing fellowship. Folks, the cross is a reminder of the importance of our relationships. The post emphasizes our vertical relationship with God. The crossbeam emphasizes our horizontal relationships with one another. We corporately develop our relationship with God through our worship services. And, we corporately develop our relationships with one another through times of fellowship. Thank you to everyone who came! And, a special thank you to Lori for a great job in putting this awesome event together!
Next Sunday we will have our Graduate Recognition in the 11:00 service. Rhys will bring the charge to our graduates. Please pray for our graduates (and their parents) at they embark on the next phase of their lives. Don’t forget to visit their memory tables in the Welcome Center!
Our gym donations tally reveals that we have a long way to go to meet our financial goal to build the gym. If we all gave with the same degree of sacrifice and faith that I have seen in some of our widow ladies, we would have met our goal already many times over. My heart is overjoyed as I have witnessed so many who have given so eagerly and cheerfully, excited to have a part in building something that will not only benefit us now, but will be our legacy to future generations. Please continue to pray and ask God how much He would have you give, and then give obediently. Let’s make May 29th hallelujah Sunday!
God is Working!
