Janice and I enjoyed our vacation in Florida this past week, and God doubly blessed us with good weather! I appreciate both Mickey Clogher and Bro. Brad (Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer Meeting), and Cooper Everspaugh (Sunday’s messages) for stepping in. I’ve heard so many good things about the job they did! And, thank you for being faithful and supportive with your attendance.
This Wednesday evening we will be participating in the annual Associational School Prayer Walk. You may go directly to the school(s) of your choice, but I ask that you come to the church at 6:00pm. We will meet in the Sanctuary for prayer and instructions, and then you will be asked to go to the school(s) of your choice and pray for the students, faculty, administration, and support personnel for this coming school year. You may pray from your car outside the school, standing / walking on the sidewalks adjacent to the school, or better, you may enter the school and pray as you walk throughout the facility. What happened at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde County, Texas this past May could happen at any school in the country. We have a responsibility to pray for our schools, and I hope you will join in this united effort this Wednesday evening!
Folks, we may be days from having the updated bid on the gym that will enable our Trustees to sign a contract for construction. We are still $89,794 short of our need. I had hoped that we would have all of the money on hand by the time we receive the updated bid from the contractor. Our church has always come through in times of need or challenge. Sometimes we have risen to the challenge of meeting a goal at the last-minute. If you have been waiting for the “last minute,” well, this is it. If you have given all that you can, then please join me in praying that others will as well.
In the Name That is Above All Names !
