From the Pastor
We were so blessed by the Children’s Choir Christmas musical this past Sunday! Thank you, Mendy Miltier, for leading them, and for all the work you have put in to make their musical such an awesome event! Also, thank you to Josh Miltier for sound, lighting, and all the things husbands do! Also, I want to thank the student members of the cast, Molly Grace Replogle and Sawyer Harrelson.

The Ladies Christmas Luncheon was so wonderful Saturday! I don’t know if we got an accurate head count, but 176 tickets were sold – the most ever! The guest speaker was Amy Wilton, daughter-in-law to Dr. Don Wilton, pastor of 7000-member First Baptist Church, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Billy Graham asked Dr. Wilton to be his pastor, and Don had the privilege of being “the one Graham turned to for spiritual guidance, fellowship, and prayer in the final years and days of his life.” We were also blessed by the voice of Jennifer Mitchell, who sang. By the time you read this, she will be Dr. Jennifer Mitchell! Thank you to Denise Messa for all of the food arrangements, to Ray Hart and Creekside Café for the delicious food, Mendy Miltier for the desserts, and all the men who served and helped clean up. Also, thank you to all the hostesses for selling tickets and decorating your tables so beautifully. Especially, I want to thank Anita Kendrick for leading such a wonder ministry event for our church year after year. For those who may not know, Anita is a Worship Ministry major at Leavell College of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She also has a full-time job at the Stennis Space Center, is a wife, mother, and grandmother, teaches Sunday School, directs our Women’s Ministry, leads our singing on Wednesday nights, is the Co-Director of our Prayer Ministry, is a member of our Ladies Praise Team, and sings in the choir. In her “spare” time, she directs our annual Ladies Christmas Luncheon. The timing of the luncheon causes it to fall right in the middle of final papers, projects, and exams at the Seminary. Thank you for your service to our Lord, Anita, and the sacrifice of your time to make this such a huge ministry for our church!

Please continue to pray for Brad. He was taken off the vent yesterday, and has continued to improve throughout the day. The doctor said that he would “soon” be moved out of MICU and into a regular room. Thank you for all of your prayers and words of encouragement and support. Please continue to pray, and we are looking forward to having him back with us as soon as he is able.

This Wednesday night we will have our adult Bible Study and Prayer Meeting in the Adult Assembly Area (overflow room) again, as the Adult Choir will use the Sanctuary to practice in preparation for their Christmas presentation this Sunday.

You Are Loved!
