From the Pastor
Sunday was awesome! The choir was great in both services, and Gary Harbeson (8:30) and Anna Kate & Drew Breland (11:00) all did such a beautiful job with the special music. Also, I heard so many wonderful comments on IMB Missionaries Scott and Joyce Pittman. It was such a pleasure having them with us. They challenged all of us to do our part in missions. All believers are not called to go to the mission field. But, we can all give to support those who are called, and we can all pray.

I’m proud of RPBC’s support of missions through the years. You have always been faithful to give. Now, I want to give you an opportunity (again) to serve! It has been several years since we have sponsored a short-term mission trip. I know the Missions Committee is chomping at the bit. Rhys and I are already praying as we explore some opportunities. I want to ask that you pray for God to open the door for RPBC to participate in a short-term mission trip in 2024.

Thank you to everyone who came to Rhys’ graduation reception on Sunday. I appreciate Lisa Howie, Vicki & Tony Dickerson, and everyone who assisted in putting it together and making it such a success. Also, thank you to everyone who generously pinned “leaves” on the money tree as a love gift for Rhys.

This Wednesday night we will be up to 1 & 2 Timothy in our Bible study. I announced last week that when we finish in a few weeks, I will begin a Wednesday night Bible study on the end times. I encourage those who are interested in this study to read Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The World of the End. I will have a few copies this week for $15 each. If more are wanted, I can order them. The study won’t be based upon this book, although I may reference it from time to time. However, it is a great book to help believers prepare for, and know how we should respond to, the time of the end.

You Are Loved!
