From the Pastor
Our Children’s Handbell Choir did an awesome job playing in the 11:00 service on Sunday! I am so grateful for Mendy Miltier’s leadership of our children’s music program. Also, I want to thank Jade Bernard for leading our Verse of the Week recitation, and Jet Clogher for once again reciting Ephesians 3. And, I want to thank Rhys for the song he so beautifully sang. It was awesome to see so many different people having a leading role in our worship services! And then, there were the weekly unsung “heroes” whose work is mostly unseen and taken for granted: Anita, Jennifer, Dinah, Kyle, Joey, and Josh. Thank you all!

I appreciate so much the work so many of you do to build up the ministry of RPBC. Often times your faithful work goes without public recognition, but don’t think it is without any recognition. People notice. They may not always know WHO did a particular thing, but they notice the result. Most importantly, God knows. In the letters Jesus instructed John to write to the seven churches, He stated to 5 of the churches, “I know your deeds.” (To another He said, “I know your tribulation and your poverty,” and to another, “I know where you live.”) To the church at Thyatira, He said, “I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first” (emphasis is mine). Yes, indeed. God knows.

This Wednesday night we will be up to Titus in our Bible study. I may even throw in Philemon! I want to announce again that when we finish our survey of the books of the Bible in a few weeks, I will begin a Wednesday night Bible study on the end times. I encourage those who are interested in this study to read Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The World of the End. I will have several copies at the service Wednesday night for $15 each. If more are needed, I can order them. The study won’t be based upon this book, although I may reference it from time to time. However, it is a great book to help believers prepare for, and know how we should respond to, the time of the end.

You Are Loved!

No temptation has overtaken you
except such as is common to man;
but God is faithful,
who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able,
but with the temptation will also
make the way of escape,
that you may be able to bear it.
