We have launched VBS 2023! It is so exciting to see all these enthusiastic children having fun at VBS. Briana Abercrombie and her staff have done an excellent job in planning and executing this year’s program. An awesome feature of this year’s VBS is that we now have a gym! Since there has either been rain or threat of rain every day, it has been sooo great to be able to plan activities without the need for a plan ‘B.’ Briana was even able to have inflatables set up inside for the children’s enjoyment!
I’ll recognize more people next week, but for now I want to thank Roger and Judy Meyers for the awesome decorations, and Jamie and Trish Boe for heading up snacks. Also, I want to extend a special thanks to everyone who donated Kool Aid, cookies, snacks, and money to help us feed all these hungry kids!
As a special request, I ask that you pray for our attendance on Thursday. That is the day that I will present the Gospel to all of the 4th – 6th graders. Also pray “also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel” (Ephesians 6:19, ESV).
I also want to ask that you pray for our services this Sunday as Rhys will preach in both services, along with sharing information from the youth Centrifuge summer trip.
