From The Pastor



It was good to see our attendance continue to grow this past Sunday! I am looking forward to the day when we have everyone back – and then some! Here are the latest reports and re-start schedule:

  • 3 of our adult Sunday School classes met on campus this past Sunday. Some others will begin to meet this coming Sunday. Classes who are meeting and their locations are:
  1. CoEd 5 (Culver, Clogher) – Fellowship Hall
  2. Ladies 5 (Fleming) – Choir Room
  3. Men 7 (Cruthird, Penton) – Adult Assembly Area (south)
  4. Ladies 6 (Herrin) – Regular Sunday School room
  5. Ladies 7 (Lee, Penton) – Youth Room
  6. CoEd 6 (Marshall) – Conference Room
  7. CoEd 7(Hart) - regular Sunday School room

If other classes would like to resume meeting, please contact me or Austin for a temporary location assignment that will allow for social distancing.

  • Extended Session for Nursery – 4 yr. olds: 11:00 am service only
  • Youth are meeting every Wednesday evening, 5:00-7:00 pm. Currently they are gathering outside the Welcome Center for pizza and fellowship, then moving to the Auditorium for worship. Beginning Wednesday, July 8th, they will move back to the Youth room.

Wednesday, July 8 th
  • Kids summer program will re-start and meet weekly at Skate Station, 5:30 -7:30 pm.

Sunday, August 9 th
  • Sunday morning worship times will revert back to 8:30 and 11:00 am. Restrictive seating will end.
  • Full Sunday School schedule (all ages) will resume.
  • Sunday evening worship service will resume.

Wednesday, August 12 th
  • Prayer Meeting will resume.

Although the threat of COVID-19 has improved, everyone is encouraged to continue to follow the established safety guidelines. Please refrain from shaking hands and hugging. Please avoid touching your face. Please practice social distancing in entering and leaving the facility, and between households on pews. Face masks are encouraged, but not required. If you feel sick or have a fever, please stay at home. For those not yet ready to return, we will continue to livestream our Sunday morning (11:00 am) and Wednesday evening services.

For those who are able, we would love to have you join us for worship in the facility this week!

Schedule Changes with Covid Restrictions:

SUNDAYS:
9 am - Seniors 60+
(Doors will open at 8:30 am)
11 am - All Ages
(Nursery available for Birth - 4yrs,
Doors open at 10:30 am, Live
Stream)

Please help us adhere to some new changes as we come together for Worship.
  • We encourage face mask
  • Enter Sanctuary from Front Entrance
  • Only Sanctuary Restrooms will be open
  • Keep Social Distance (Every other pew will be available and roped off)
  • Tithe/Visitor card boxes will be available and located at three exits points
  • We will be cleaning between both morning services (Trash cans will be available at exit points)

CHURCH OFFICE: Staff has returned to the office but we are temporarily closed to the public. We are available for our church members but we ask that you please contact the church office prior to entering building.

COMMITTEES:
All Committees may resume meeting as needed.

  • Must meet in Fellowship Hall as to adhere to social distancing rules.
  • Contact the church office to schedule meetings ahead of time. This is to assure we do not double book and have time to clean between meetings.

Church Volunteer Teams:
Security Teams and Ushers will be needed during our worship services. Bro. Brad will be contacting our weekly teams for verification.

Youth Girls Bible Study is Back!
Thursdays from 6:15 - 7:15 pm
at Crosby Commons (Stage Area)
Led by Jillian Nicholson (Summer Intern)

If weather is not cooperating, the girls will be notified ASAP of location change. 
COLLEGE SMALL GROUP
Tuesdays from 7:45 - 9:00 pm
at the Mason Home
(Includes 2020 Graduates)
Beginning this Sunday, June 14 our Sunday School lessons will be available in a “Take Home” packet that you can get at our church service.

Lessons are also still available online at LIFEWAY for those not attending worship.

We are collecting Food and household items to assist anyone who may have a need.
