From the Pastor
It was exciting to welcome Michael and Judy Albee to our faith family yesterday! They recently relocated to Picayune from Tickfaw, Louisiana (near Hammond). Please reach out to them and make them feel welcome when you see them!

Following the nomination and screening processes, the church voted yesterday to elect Dean Westbrook, James Carroll, Mike Breland, and Dallas Penton to serve as deacons. James, Mike, and Dallas need to be ordained. An ordination council and service will be set up to enable them to begin to serve in January. Congratulations to all of these men, as well as all of those who were nominated! We are blessed to have such qualified men who have hearts of service.

I’m saddened that we will not have our Thanksgiving Fellowship Supper this year. However, deacons and other drivers will be delivering meals to our widows. We will also deliver meals to our homebound (and their in-home caregivers) and at-risk members upon request. These need to phone the church office by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 18th to be added to the list. Meals will be delivered around lunchtime on Monday, November 23rd.

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting” (Psalm 107:1).

With Thankfulness,
Dan
Please help us Welcome...
