We had another great day of worship yesterday! Thank you to the 8:30 service praise team, and to Drew Breland and the Youth Praise Team (mostly) who led us in the 11:00 service.
Our final count on Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes was 150. This ministry of Samaritan’s Purse has grown to be one of the most impactful of all international ministries. It provides tangible gifts to children, many of whom would not receive any otherwise. It enables the teams who deliver the shoeboxes to share the story of Jesus. And, it creates goodwill and open doors for Samaritan’s Purse ministries and operations throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who contributed through shoeboxes and financial donations!
Next Sunday I will begin a Christmas series of messages entitled, “Tell Me the Story of Jesus.” Over the course of 4 weeks we will be revisit this most wonderful story, from original sin to the birth of Christ. It is important that we know the WHOLE story so we can talk about it at home, and share it with those we influence. This Sunday the message will be, “What’s the Big Deal about Christmas?” If Christmas has lost its meaning in your heart, come and listen to the story.
Janice and I want to wish each of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
“I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love” (Luke 7:47, NLT)
With a grateful heart,
Dan
