Sunday was a special day! It was so exciting to recognize our high school graduates and to hear their plans for the future. Of course, our prayer is that their plans are God’s plans! We were proud to also recognize Carter Nicholson who earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, and Dr. Kelly Hill who graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine.
We were also excited to receive Jazmin Robertson and Sawyer Harrelson, both upon their profession of faith. And, I want to thank Austin for bringing such an inspiring and challenging Baccalaureate message.
We have a special Memorial Day service planned for this Sunday, in memory of those who died as the result of war, or of a military service related injury or disease. If you would like for your loved one to be remembered, please contact Nadia in the church office as soon as possible.
I also want to thank Lori Replogle for planning and organizing such an awesome fishing and tea party event for our children this past Sunday afternoon. And thank you to everyone who helped to make this event such a success! It is worth noting that Barry Harper now holds the record for consecutive years a grandfather has been out fished by his grandsons!
I am so excited for ALL OF YOU who will be able to vacation this summer after being restricted for over a year! It is good to get away, relax, see the beauty of God’s creation, and…….just go places! That said, when you are not traveling on vacation please don’t neglect to come to church. The number one reason people give for not attending church is, “That is the only day I have to spend with my family.” Is there a better place to go and spend time with your family?
Blessed to be Your Pastor!
Dan
