September 20 to October 13, 2024 is officially "Culture Days in Saskatchewan," thanks to the provincial proclamation made by the Honourable Laura Ross, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport.
Culture Days is just around the corner! From September 20 to October 13, celebrate arts, culture, and creativity across Canada. With over 230 free activities across Saskatchewan, there’s something for everyone!

Prairie Central receiving nominations for Volunteer Recognition Program | The next nomination deadline for the Prairie Central District of Sports, Culture and Recreation's Volunteer Recognition Program is September 15. This program is targeted at community volunteers who have made a meaningful impact on their community, to demonstrate the importance and value that volunteers provide in the areas of sport, culture and recreation through public recognition. The award recipients will receive a grant of $1000, which will be utilized in the area of that person’s volunteering efforts. Read more | Music Education Day in Saskatchewan | The Saskatchewan Music Educators Association (SMEA) and the Province of Saskatchewan have proclaimed September 13 as Music Education Day in the province. This day is dedicated to recognizing the invaluable contributions of music educators and the profound impact of music education on students’ lives. SMEA has resources available for those wishing to join in promoting this day as an opportunity to showcase the work of music educators and encourage more people to receive the benefits of music. Copyright Basics Workshop (Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists)
