New Parent Portal

Woodridge 68 has changed its student information system (SIS) vendor from Skyward to PowerSchool. That means families will no longer use Family Access to view their child’s information. Families now have access to PowerSchool’s Parent Portal, which provides an upgrade in both functionality and usability.

Parent Portal is an online portal accessible anywhere on the web that parents can log in to and see all of their children in one place, their grades, assignments, scores, attendance, schedules, and more for each school your children attend.

Families received an automated email on August 1 with the subject line “PowerSchool Account Change.” You may need to check your spam folder. In the email will be a link, user name and temporary password. Use this information to activate your Parent Portal account. Please note this is a separate account from the one you set up for registration in PowerSchool Enrollment, but you can use the same login credentials to help you remember if you like.

A library of short tutorial videos to help you navigate the new system is posted on the district website under >Departments >Information Technology. Additional videos will be added throughout the year, and the video library will remain available for a refresher at any time.

"PowerSchool" can mean a lot of things

We appreciate everyone's patience as we made the switch from Skyward to PowerSchool this summer. Staff and families alike are learning and getting familiar with new systems. Woodridge 68 uses a total of 8 different PowerSchool software products that serve different audiences/needs and are accessed by different groups of individuals.

Families have two different accounts with two different logins on two separate websites: Enrollment and Parent Portal.

  • Enrollment is for registration.
  • Parent Portal is for class schedules, lunch balances, bus routes, absence reporting, report cards, parent-teacher conferences, etc.

Woodridge 68 staff use the other 6 PowerSchool software products we have. Please be sure to reference the specific software program you are using (not PowerSchool) when you have a question or need help so we are better able to assist you.

New website launched

We're excited to announce Woodridge 68 launched a new website over the summer! You will find the navigation to be largely the same, though many new features have been added. You will need to update any old bookmarks you may have.

You can read about a few of the new features to help you familiarize yourself with some of these changes in the News & Announcements section on the district website.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to refine the site and work to bring you the best experience possible. If you have any questions about the new website, please send an email to info@woodridge68.org.
