Register now for 2026-27 school year

Student registration for the 2026-27 school year is now OPEN! A few highlights to note:

  • Registration is done through PowerSchool Enrollment and accessed through Parent Portal
  • Student Chromebooks automatically open a tab for registration, providing easy access for families at home
  • An early bird fee discount will be offered through May 31
  • There is no walk-in registration event, but registration assistance will be offered on June 23 by appointment only
  • If you will not be returning to Woodridge 68 next year, please notify your school now.

NEW: Returning students who are not registered by July 31, 2026 will be removed from the roster and must re-enroll as a new student.

Early bird fee discount through May 31

Student fees for the 2026-27 school year can be paid when registering students online and will be discounted 50% rounded to the nearest dollar if paid through May 31, 2026.

  • Paying fees has never been easier thanks to our new registration system - pay right on the PowerSchool Enrollment site (no need to go to RevTrak).
  • After May 31, 2026 student fees will be assessed at the full amount.
  • Fee waiver and free and reduced lunch applications can be completed beginning July 1, 2026.

Anticipating a fee waiver? Don’t wait to submit your student’s registration! Select the ‘Waiver Applicant’ option for payment. Families who receive direct certification from the State of Illinois (typically in early July) will have fees waived automatically, while those who do not must apply for a fee waiver through the district’s business department; if a waiver is not submitted or is denied, families are responsible for all fees.

Important health information

Now is a good time to get a jump on your child's health requirements for the 2026-27 school year.

Illinois School Code requires students to submit a report of physical, dental, and vision examinations and the dates that certain immunizations were received in order to attend school. Ages of interest/circumstances include:

  • Preschool/early childhood
  • Kindergarten
  • First entry in Illinois school
  • Grade two
  • Grade six

Attn: current 5th grade parents

Students are required to receive both a physical examination and dental examination within one year prior to their entrance into 6th grade. In addition to the physical and dental exams, evidence of having received certain immunizations is required. Parents of 5th grade students should have received an informational packet with further details in the postal mail.

Student wellness & digital safety

Woodridge 68 has implemented new Chromebook guidelines designed to support student wellness and strengthen online safety. Student Chromebooks will be unavailable between 10:00pm and 6:00am to help encourage healthy sleep habits and balanced screen time.

The district has also added an advanced content-aware filtering system that scans webpages in real time and helps block inappropriate material, including VPNs and proxies used to bypass filters. Families are encouraged to use Qustodio parent-managed controls for additional oversight of student device use outside of school hours.

Summer use of student Chromebooks

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide continuous access to educational resources and support learning outside the traditional school year, Woodridge School District 68 allows students to keep their district-issued Chromebooks during the summer break. This initiative allows students to explore their interests further, engage in self-directed learning, and stay connected with educational activities over the summer.

Opt-out: If you do not want your child to bring their district-issued Chromebook home over the summer, you may opt out by notifying your child’s teacher. Students who opt out must turn in their Chromebook, charger and case on Friday, May 22.

Moving out or otherwise leaving Woodridge 68? Families are responsible for returning their student’s Chromebook, charger and case. These can be turned in at your child’s school through Friday, May 29. Beginning Monday, June 1, these items must be delivered to the District Administrative Center (7925 Janes Avenue). Failure to return these district-owned items within 5 days of withdrawal will result in a charge of $400.

Math at home

Keep the Thinking Going This Summer

Your summer mission: math in the wild!

Throughout the year, your children have been learning math a bit differently from how many of us were taught. Through our math curriculum, we focus heavily on problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration rather than just memorizing steps. We want our students to be thinkers, not just calculators!

How do you prevent the summer slide without fighting over math worksheets? The good news: you don't need worksheets to keep their math brains active. This month's Math at Home includes information on how you can support your young mathematician over the summer break:

  • Fostering a Thinking Mindset at Home
  • High-Quality Summer Bridge Resources
  • Math in the Wild Summer Choice Board: We challenge your family to pick one activity a week. Whether you are baking a half-batch of cookies, calculating the best deal at the grocery store, or keeping score during family game night—math is everywhere.

In case you missed it
