We are grateful that this last month has brought:
  • continued progress in vaccinations,
  • low disease rates in our community,
  • updated CDC guidance stating that fully vaccinated individuals are (generally speaking) neither at risk themselves nor a risk to others in the spread of COVID19.

With this good news the Re-Opening team is recommending the following immediate changes to worship practices:
  • Online pre-registration will no longer be required for attending worship. (Online signup continues for worship volunteers. See below if you want to help out at worship!)
  • Strict attendance limits for worship will no longer be in effect—however, we will still require all to wear face masks and practice 6 foot physical distancing with every other pew left open. Family members will not need to distance during worship.
  • Overflow seating will be available in the Fellowship Hall to watch the live-stream in the event that attendance exceeds what the sanctuary can hold while following our physical distancing requirements.

More changes will be announced soon as we continue to adapt and thoughtfully rollback various safety precautions that were put in place due to the pandemic. Thanks to all for your continued patience and understanding! If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to talk with any member of the Re-Opening Team: Pastor Glen Bickford, Pastor Becky Goche, Brenda Rooney, Karl Green, Mark Flaten, Mary Mueller, Jennifer Jones, Niki Pohnl.
The Transition Team would like to meet with church members. They are looking for more feedback - this time regarding mutual expectations for the next pastor. There will also be a chance to share other thoughts regarding what is needed for the next Senior Pastor. There will be five locations/rooms within our building for meetings after church services this weekend, and each meeting is limited to six people (plus a facilitator).

Each meeting should be 30-45 minutes in length. Click here to sign up, or call Jennifer at 784-9335.
The survey results continue to trickle in, settling in at over 200 responses, well over 40%. Understandably, naming the top five ministry tasks for the senior pastor had many different responses, but there were three standouts: Preaching & Worship (150 responses), Building a Sense of Community (91), and Administration (81). The next two highest after these three were Pastoral Care & Visitation (49) and Spiritual Formation & Direction (46). Click to read more!

There will be a special Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 20 after worship to elect the Call Committee. You may attend in person or via Zoom (link will be sent out at a later time).
